I managed it on two occasions, D and G string, started using heavier strings after that.

Mini disk format is brilliant for recording radio plays/concerts. I have several hundred disks of BBC Proms recordings from past years, very easy to edit the disks. The Sony MDS-JE480 has long play facility which can be quite handy as well.
