Re: Power Supply Questions

I have a feeling that the cap ESR would be significantly less than 2R. It will doubtless vary with frequency, aided and abetted by an inductive effect too, but for the purposes of 50 - 100 Hz, a single value will do. :D If I'm guessing with large electrolytic values, I tend to use tenths of an Ohm,...

That step is deliberately programmed into the software as a 1:10 current step. The step values can be seen at the current taps.
This is done to try to provoke the simulated supply into low frequency ringing.
OK then, would never have guessed! :D

Re: Dodgy TFT Screen

There was a news item recently, actually they do recycle, example cited was expanded polystyrene is compressed then chopped up into tiny pellets, then it is suitable for injection moulding, which is really quite clever, then all kinds of things are made with it like plastic cases, boxes, picture fra...

Re: Power Supply Questions

I can't figure what's causing that step? Looks odd to me. The previous one looked much more sensible.

Incidentally you should really find out what is the ESR of each cap, they can't all be 2 Ohms.

Again?

Yep I use 2A ones with a couple of Bluetooth receivers, and the ADC phono amp, "just in case" :thumbleft:

Yep it's always the wee small hours and it's always on a weekend, sod's law. :(

Last time my mum was taken in (from the nursing home) finally got away about 3 am after (eventually) she'd been moved out of A&E to a ward.

Re: Nothing In Particular

Sorry about that Mark. Only read about this now today. :(

^ What the others said. Presume she lives alone and as she's now 80 and with a broken arm I would think can also get social services involved. The hospital etc. should be able to sort something out.
