Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

Well...first listening tests show that ... it's not that good  It's a small increment on, vs. the last build, but it hasn't done the 'thing' I wanted in the upper bass. Re: First Watt F4 reduce VDC?

Well, you could take the cellophane off the mains transformer and unwind a few turns to drop the voltage then tape it up again. Won't look so neat, but would save you buying a different Tx.

In the context of this forum, I don't think 'shoddy' is really the correct word. Maybe 'sleek !' or something. I am really quite proud of how monstrous this experiment has become !

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

More work this evening - top panel fitting holes drilled and temp. fitting, followed by edging and rounding of panel ( to side panels ) with router. Then I removed and sanded smooth remaining internal filler areas and varnished the whole interior of the new section, to bind the surface wood together...

whenever I hear that somebody has been beavering I get suspicious.

Reminds me of a H.G. Wells story entitled 'The New Accelerator' . Did you notice anything getting singed as you moved around the workroom ?

Which our site is - MOD work including occasionally some secret stuff. Also plenty of commercially-sensitive design. I have circulated this story a little here so it can be taken up by anyone in IT or management who takes an interest.

Re: Peel downloadable archive

Sure thing Uncle Meat - much need for antidotes right now.
Just listening to 'The Hedgehog's Song' - easy to forget how great the ISB were.
I will run through a couple more of the John tapes, then dip into one of the Viv selections .
