Re: Any Interest - Soft Start PCBs

Well, that's rendered that proposition dead in the water!

Mixing metaphors, I'll plough my own furrow.

Any Interest - Soft Start PCBs

These look like quite useful units to have available; https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/power-supplies/354971-pcb-low-voltage-switch-drives-ac-mains-relay-includes-soft-start-h9kpxg.html and I wondered if there's any interest in a group buy? I had a look at JLCPCB and 20 PCBs with 2oz copper and gold ...

Re: Corona Virus Lock Down 'Rant' Thread.

Basically, when all is said and done, Cummings doesn't give a shit! And although Boris is dishonest and manipulative himself I'm suspicious too about his response - I imagine Cummings has got him over a barrel in terms of what he could tell (sell) to the papers or write in a book. It would be amusin...

Beautiful weather for a bike ride. Here's the view towards Taunton from the south (Thurlbear Woods to be precise).

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

Just to dampen my enthusiasm, though on reflection perhaps not surprising given recent posts here, it seems the Soekris FPGA doesn't have the grunt for FIR filters. you can, however, still use the two (or more) board concept for implementing DAC based crossovers.

From the DIY Audio topic on the Soekris DAM1121 DAC;
soekris wrote:It have always be possible to connect multiple slaves to one master, with the digital inputs going to the master. That is mainly for doing digital crossovers using the biquads in the multiple dam1121's, or for balanced or parallel operation.

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

I wonder if the FIR discussion deserves its own thread ? I think that would be useful as it seemingly has much wider applications than just your speaker journey and it would create a resource for information on the topic - that would be useful to people like me who don't have a full grasp of the th...

Re: Made for fun during the lockdown

Shame about dismantling the music centre but I guess there's only so much space for keeping stuff! I did like the RPi and screen though and it's got me thinking about something like it - was it a touch screen or just a display?
