After what he went through with that Quad-bike crash a few years ago, there was probably a bigger risk of a stroke in the future . I learned this because an ex-colleague of mine from Carl Zeiss was involved in a crash on his bike about 10-12 years ago, which put him in a coma for a short while with head injuries . After that he recovered most of his abilities and lived OK and returned to work, but he died suddenly in 2012 at the age of 60 .
