Small pics zooming the page helps
the last one shows the sort of craft knives used for some bits they came from a £pound shop.

If Guiness made a tonearm this would be it. Chucked the fags so who wants a fight :)

A-ha!! The knitting needle tonearm. So the whole thing is kept in place by a magnet underneath pulling on the thread?

Made a couple using a brass tube and some sort of rosewood and light ebony, they have a large very live sound more than the heavy ebony.

What length Pivot to spindle Will? 14"?

Nice work again BTW.

PS. That window ledge still needs a bit of filler though :-)

If you could, would you go longer? Some broadcast arms were about 16" I've read.

Just thinking about my own next attempt.

A knitting needle? Groovy :D

Good luck kicking the cigs, I'm coming up for 4 years now since I quit.

I actually found it quite easy but I did have some incentive.

Phwooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I know generally it's not the kind of thing to mention on a public forum but are you aware your (magnetic) balls are touching Will? :D

14" it is then, it'll fit on mine. Poss 15" too....

Weights, 9...I took a load off Annie... i took a load fer freeeeeeee", ahem. I've got a couple of Lenco weights to play with for now, whats the advantage of the Thorens ball type apart from sleek stylishnish? I see the old Lenco armrest came in handy then
