Its true, I used to own a 2CV. It was one of the best cars for gigging in as all the seats come out leaving a nice big load area. Cheap to run too when you're a Veggie and also impoverished Jazz bass playing beatnick.

Does it help to be four miles from the brewery; sort of 'light blue touch paper and ....' or its a long pint or ... well I don't know Very Happy

anyway, what's all this 'fidleeyedahlia' business?

It was Andy who went up to Leicester to the shrine of Sidcup Screech where, as tehmoon was in the right phase in regards to amphelia he was treated to El-Spuddo and Fids. He was most impressed.

I was down in Malvern, busy with fish n chips and other less spiritual pleasures. So I never got to hear the real thing.

Andy is now in Kiev ... hiding!

Hi Si - see what I did there (swIdt)

not necessarily but then, can you trust a guy who hangs out in skate parks!?

Me, I'd trust him to the end of the earth, but how far is that away?

Sometimes it is better to be wrong and have fun. (Patak the hot)

The first ones were made from surplus US army oil drums I believe.

Once saw a list of the original design criteria for the 2CV ~ a car 'for the French peasant' ~ had to carry 10 sacks of spuds in the back, drive across a ploughed field without spilling yer vino, stuff like that. Very Happy

Drive across a ploughed field wiv a basket of eggs on the back seat and not break any I think you will find !

Never heard the oil drum theory, and I worked with a bunch of 2CV nutters (Citroen dealership) for 12 years or so.

Guess it depends on what you mean by Jazz (and only jazz).

Kenny Ball, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, MJQ, Maravishnu Orchestra, Soundscape UK.
