Here's my contribution:

I put the Powersoft amps in a rack a while ago - here's a shot with the mixing desk on top.
Image

The rack weighs about the same as one of those 833A amps. Even at full-tilt (well, onset of clipping of pink noise at 4ohm/ch) the rack will only put out 650w of heat, so I expect the valves to be better for a winter's day.

That's strange then, because when Chris posted, the image was there for me. :?

Yes, me to, what did you change Paul and why?

I can see then now... but not before.. That’s what I like to see, proper amps have xlr inputs and speakon outputs, none of this exposed stuff. :wink

Proper amps have Dante inputs :wink:

Huh, that's interesting.
My image works fine on my laptop w/Firefox, but doesn't show on an iPad w/Safari.

Works for both on Paul's last attempt. I'll take the -m off the end in future. Cheers, Paul!

Anyway, shall we get back to the amplifiers? Got a few more around here, but the Powersoft ones are probably the nicest.

Yes, let's get back to some amp 'lookers', no more dull boxes.

Mr Barker may remember this one from a few years back;

Electronluv makes does make amps and other stuff with a certain style, there are more amps here and check out the horns too;

The best amplifier is a ... “wire with gain”... not a “fire with gain”. To engineers spec mean more when looks.. that’s why I wear a Casio watch and my Philippe Patek gathers dust in draw somewhere.
