Ray, there is a live webcam on Bishops Lydeard railway station, so next time you are there wave at me.

Just been out for 1hr16 mins to Llabedr CD & back - with a little loop at the end round past the Brookhouse pottery & weir. Weather lovely - better than predicted. Bit windy, but it was mostly a cross-wind.
Felt pretty good today despite not having been out on bike for a couple of weeks. Wasn't really tired when I got back, often feel a bit wiped-out for rest of day. Maybe the copper I've been taking is working.

Perfect weather yesterday and the need to get out and about for a while prompted a 67.5 mile Thames Tickler that covered North and South Thames paths, it was hard work because I haven't been on my bike much recently due to other events in life but it was lovely to be out again...

One of my favorite routes. I'm also out of practice at pedaling, I'll have to come down again sometime and get some flat southern miles in... Team Triode rides again?Dave the bass wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 10:16 am Perfect weather yesterday and the need to get out and about for a while prompted a 67.5 mile Thames Tickler that covered North and South Thames paths...

Game on! I've done a bit of route tweaking recently and improved the route near the "James Bond aqua-fun-water-stunt area" to keep us closer to the River....
...maybe and Our-MrT might be up for it and possibly my other pedal-chum Clint, a runner-turned-cyclist in his mid 50's with a good electronics background too, so possibly a Team Tetrode ensemble?

Give me a bit of notice and maybe I'll join you too. I want to put in a couple of long rides before the summer completely fizzles out.Dave the bass wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 1:55 pm ...maybe and Our-MrT might be up for it and possibly my other pedal-chum Clint, a runner-turned-cyclist in his mid 50's with a good electronics background too, so possibly a Team Tetrode ensemble?
As for me I've been steadily putting in the miles; total mileage ridden in August was around 500.
Yesterday my legs felt tired for some reason and I did a fairly leisurely loop around the old WW2 airfields south of Taunton again. Some good uphill drags to work up a sweat though!

On my way back to warmer climes early tomorrow - our winter starts in about a month so I'll have six months of 25C weather to cycle in. Still high 30s to mid 40s now, but cools rapidly...
Really looking forward to being back on the bike...

Only 37 in Sicily. I'm missing the bike but I'm missing my guitar more...
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

I don't have a guitar, but if I did, you (and everyone else) would be glad I was missing it...andrew Ivimey wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2017 9:17 pm Only 37 in Sicily. I'm missing the bike but I'm missing my guitar more...
