It's certainly warmer than normal around this part of the country.

As per usual at this time of year I'm in a little cottage on the western shore of Windermere. It's warm and wet weather but the lake has retreated from a high spot on Saturday i. e. It's now 25 yards from the front door instead of twenty! Looking forward to Ophelia tomorrow...

That's the water being sucked away just before the giant wave arrives.
I'm not liking what I see of the forecast for tomorrow.
Shipping forecast has about 4 or 5 areas with Hurricane 12 and seas 'Occasionally phenomenal'

Well, I must say at the moment it's quite windy enough here for my tastes. It really doesn't need to get any windier.

Yes, first thing we had heavy overcast with a yellowish tint. Then later when it brightened up the sun was orange like in a sunset. It's been an eventful day for weather. I hear they had 90mph gust at Capel Curig recently and it must be gusting to 60 or 65 here, the branches are staying on the trees for the moment.

Really weird flat yellow-grey sky this morning just before sunrise. Felt very oppressive and strangely still. By ten o’clock we had blue sky and warm sun with no real wind until lunchtime. Had a quick walk round the cliffs this evening, I thought we were going to end up flying the dog like a kite on the end of her lead.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Nice shot.
Thought it was over round here but it just blew up again, I had to go outside and curse the blasted thing, I'm fed up of it now.
Just had to try & pack all the wheelie bins into the most sheltered corner, laid on the floor and somehow stop them from flapping and banging around and spoiling my appreciation of a documentary about Bert Jansch I have saved.
