Main use for these is in a Jacob's ladder. Loads of examples out there, but you only need one for that.

OK, I put them all in series, stood back and measured them.

Using a pair of binoculars I could just make out 26ft 2" on the tape measure.

Now connect a 1v RMS 100Hz signal to the final secondary. Then the size of the signal on the first primary represents how funny you are.
