I have a WD Pre/phono/power set which I havn't used for years and need a nice MC phono. My WD phono has the SUT's but they have never been wired up so it is MM only at present. I would like to know if it is worth keeping the set just for the Phono use or if I would be better off selling and buying a dedicated MC phono. I only want to spend money if I would get better performance.
Any views?

The supplied WAD SUTs are ok but bettered by the likes of Lundahl...the basic cct is ok IMHO and improves with a CCS on the input and tweaks to the PSU. Commercially, you will need to spend significantly more to improve on it.
Only the Sith deal in absolutes.

Thanks Neal - will post on the WD site to see how to do the mods you suggest.
I may as well try what I have now before deciding to spend more money.
