#1 New gizmo ?

Post by pre65 »

Whilst searching for CD transports on e-bay, I came across this.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDIOPHILE-RE ... 5711wt_932

I must be "tecno thicko maximus" cos I can't work out how it would be used.

Or, if indeed it would be any good ?

You rip your CDs to WAV format on a PC. Copy the wav files to an SD card. Then this device plays the WAV files.
The user interface doesn't look as slick as some of the alternatives.

Can't see the point when you can buy a Squeezebox Touch and escape all that card swapping nonsense, and you get proper tagging if you rip your CDs to FLAC 8)

One for the masochists methinks

Aye, but a good way to have portable high quality music though. These sound quite good by all accounts.

Fair comment, but thy're not exactly small.
I've got a phone that has decent enough sound quality for on the move stuff.
