Tactile perception

Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.

Very impressive! This thread documents a lot of what went into the concept:

Is there any SQ benefit/advantage doing it like this compared to using an active x-over?The crossovers are passive line level built into the amplifiers.

There are many advantages to cleverly placed passive crossovers. Have you ever tried to get a 100% transparent buffer? I don't think that they exist so if I can use existing stages of amplification, I simply save that additional layer. Less interconnects, less stuff in the hifi rack.
The passive line level xover is working into a purely resistive load so the curve is very predictable. My implementation in the power amp requires a very low impedance preamp to drive the long cables and capacitive/inductive load. That is probably why the PASS B1 works better than any valve pre amp that I have tried.

Facinating. Maybe it applies. Maybe it was the moment. I certainly was not drunk or deaf at the time. Thank you for the link. I have not heard of her before and will be listening to more.

I couldn't see any info on the previous thread - so interested to hear.
